You know those days where time flies by really slowly...
When every minute feels like an hour?
When the weather accentuates the mood you are in...
Windy, cold, tired, weak
When you have a bunch of stuff to do...
And wish it would evaporate.
Yeah... today is one of those days.
Today is one of those days
Where you get back an unwanted assignment
Today is one of those days
When you just want to roll up in your bed and hibernate
Today is one of those days
When you finally notice you are slipping.
"PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER!"

Music
Where would we all be without music.
That lullaby that helped us sleep at night
That melody that created that warm fuzzy feeling that we often deny
Those powerful lyrics that made us feel like we are not the only one
Those background beats that allowed us to stand up and dance
The annunciation of speech that brought chills down our spinal cord
The realm of escape that allowed us to forget where we stand with the world
Music on. World off.

Sleep
Today my friend introduced a sleep theory called "Sleep Debt". What is funny is that it makes a lot of sense.
She made the observation that sleep is kind of like a bank. When you are awake you are constantly spending time and energy to the world, which acts as a deposit system. When you sleep you are revitalizing your body from the world, which acts as a withdrawal system.
However, when you do not set aside a certain amount of hours your body needs to rest... then that in itself is sleep debt. What happens when one falls into sleep debt? The individual starts to fall asleep in lectures, while studying, and even worst while eating... WHY does this happen? You see, the body is trying to catch up on the hours it missed by telling the mind that it needs more withdrawal from the hours put into sleeping. Our bodies keep count of the number of hours we operate in the real world. Therefore, make up the amount of sleep debt you all have. I still struggle with this because as college students it is very hard to set aside our studies to sleep. But, if you want to be effective and efficient you must sleep.
One more fact before I go on with my day is that it is proven that spicy stuff makes it difficult for you to sleep at night. Proven fact by the news. So if you ask yourself, "why am I such an insomniac?" Examine what you ate ya'll!

Health
There was an event with the school of policy planning and development where alums came to meet undergraduate and graduate students. Just to give you guys a better sense of my major, there are a total of five tracks: public policy, public management, real estate development, urban planning, and healthcare development.
I met with someone in the healthcare field and they claimed that we (as in the U.S.) are 15 years behind the global health care policies. I just thought that was interesting. The path that a lot of global countries are taking is geared towards this social healthcare where it provides an efficient method to have health insurance. The question that rises is... Why is a powerhouse country like the United States behind in a significant field? mmm we shall see how Obama implements his healthcare policies.
Health,
An unpredictable force ready to strike at any moment.
Many have experienced and suffered
Many have fallen
Many have survived
When I was little. My Mom and Dad would always pray for their children's health. I did not understand the logic of praying for one's health because I assumed everyone was simply healthy. You see... when you think about health you think of well being. Parents... or even people in general want to see this development of well being because it is the social norm. Health is very important because it represents the outcome and development of individuals. Therefore, every time I listen to my parents pray about the family's health I am thankful and encouraged and pray on their behalf as well. Our parents are aging. It really made a profound impact on me when I began to notice that my parents began to show weaknesses in their actions that they did not portray as my siblings and I grew up from k-12. Age has left its mark.
On another note. I am doing the AIDS walk this Sunday with my frat for our philanthropy. It feels..good.
Do everything while you still can.

Stress
Burden,
that black stain attached to the center of every heart,
coiled around every valve to suffocate every beat of the heart,
tied to a weight that makes the heart sink at every hand that ticks to a clock.
silence *pop*
The annoyance of time tocking with no stop,
Time... please... can you not?
Unravel what must be seen,
Tear the seal away from its place
And find nothing more
nor nothing less
Please, let moral codes be set in place
For burden storms seek to reap my place.

Flight
I began to think:
new atmosphere
amazing spirit
the ability to innovate
and the action to implement a new lifestyle.
Now imagine this:
the world cupped under one hand
the light that never ceases to shine
the warmth that never disintegrates
the spirit that is pure
the one that is indescribable
What began as a journey became a crossroad.
The path I chose to take
Became my destination and my destiny.
And all I can take away at this very moment
Is solely the fact that fate has brought me to this point for a reason.
To begin a new has brought forth motivation
But has brought me back to level one.
So take it. Built it. Mold it.
Use this opportunity to open up and soar.

Self Theory

OK OK so I just got back from my big and lil party and honestly it was off the hook. You know what? I noticed today that to feel free is honestly being free. People should relinquish themselves and be who they want to be. Why the hell should people feel restricted.
Just listen to this song by Coldplay
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skUJ-B6oVDQ
Just look at the top.
Anyways. I had way too much tonight so I will leave you with this final note for tonight. BE FREE AND EXPRESS WHO YOU TRULY ARE ON THE INSIDE. geez... it frustrates me when people fail to express who they really are. SO LISTEN UP WORLD! BE YOURSELF DON'T BE WHO YOU ARE NOT.

Best Time of Day
Welcome to the new world of blogging. Is strangely what popped into my mind. Sounds very familiar.
Interesting to say, but blogging is definitely something that will help me implement and organize my thoughts to help me realize how much I have grown (another familiar saying).
I wish I started this my first year at UCSD before transferring because, needless to say, there were TONS of topics that year that created the epiphanies I make today. Whoa, I don't know if that came out right. uh... bear with me. I AM NEW
I bet for those of you who are reading this you are thinking something on the lines of "newb" or "GET ME OUT OF HERE!" I promise topics will be interesting in the near future.

Let me start by formally introducing myself. I am Ryan...who loves to take long walks on the beach... HAHAHAHA no I am not one of those crazy romantics. But, I am someone who is random so be prepared to experience a lot of random facts and occurrences.
Prepared?
