Perception

Reading up on the Winter Olympics and seeing how an athlete got from Point A to Point B to the podium is just amazing. It is a new source of motivation that I can take away...
That goals are graspable/possible.

Even now, as I dwell on the past... it amazes me how much we all grew. Although we will mature and grow more throughout our lives, it astonishes me at how many obstacles we had to overcome to get to where we are at right now.

Perception is my word of the week. There is so much more to explore in this world. For those of you who believe that you have already "been there and done that," stop being arrogant and open your eyes to different opportunities out there.

Smile, for we have already accomplished so much.
Smile even wider cause we will be accomplishing much more in the future.

Food

I love food. It gives me something to look forward to when I have long days.

Oh yeah, I had so many weird combinations of food in college. Yesterday I made Jjapaghetti (black bean noodles), fried pork cutlet... while my future roommates grilled bell peppers, hot dog sausages (from super bowl), and made rice. And to top it all off we had Kimchi and a taste of a girl's pancake with cream cheese (mixed with chocolate chips) for dessert.

Sorry stomach, I bet you're so confused right now. What sucks even more is that I will not have pleasant time in the bathroom.

I think it was worth it. At least we had an apple in the end to feel as if we ate something healthy.

Want an apple!?!

Oh yeah and free Grand Slam to top it off. Sorry stomach.

Looking forward to next year's football!

Although ESPN ranked USC #7 in recruitment, I still have faith that we will do our best. Matt Barkley will definitely be more experienced in his QB endeavors for sure.

Let's go TROJANS! Fight On!

Powdered Donuts

One food people will know you ate are powdered donuts. All it takes is one bite.

What's another food that is tough to get away with?

I HATE Black Licorice Flavor!

Today, in my Business Marketing class the students had to undergo an experiment.

My experiment was scheduled at 4:00pm, I had work from 2-4pm today. Unfortunately, it was a busy day and professors asked me to help them with their tasks. As I was working, I realized that it was already 4:02pm. In shock, I ran out of the office and bolted to my experiment.

It was literally 4:05pm by the time I got there, and as I reached for the handle, the leader of the experiment walked out and gave me a lecture about being late and how it was unethical. While she was lecturing me, the experiment had already began and I was not able to make it to my experiment time slot.

But fortunately, there was another one at 5pm. So during my down time I went back to work and finished up my work and worked for another hour (just realized I said work too many times).

When it was time for my experiment again, I walked up to her and said "is this ethical enough for you?" and took my seat. Tired from the long day, I just wanted to finish the surveys for the experiment group I was part of and eat.

One of the surveys, I had to take involved eating jellybeans. When the experiment leader was distributing jellybeans I noticed that people were getting assorted colors of jellybeans. I look at the bag that the experiment leader gave to me and all I could see were black ones...

In my head I was thinking, "all of these jellybeans BETTER be Grape flavored or else I am going to throw a fit."

As I grabbed my first jellybean and popped it in my mouth....
I got a strong flavor of.... BLACK LICORICE! YUCK!
Long story short, I had a bag full of black liquorish flavored jellybeans to eat. FML.
I am not a happy camper.

Thump

"Why do we fall. To pick ourselves back up again." (Batman)

This quote is so true.

Let's dust off our dirty knees, clear our minds, focus, and chase after what we came here to do.

Open arms for me is an act of surrender and welcomeness.
To surrender to another represents humility and maturity.

When I grow up I want to be...

USC invited Larry King to the speak at our Auditorium today!

One word, "wow".
He speaks with such charisma, approaches situations from past political experience, and is just a witty guy.

Hearing his vivid stories were inspirational and incredible.

One of the many messages I will take away from this experience would be to "be yourself".

I mean come on, we hear it all the time, but what we hear in continuity is what is really true.

I also went to USC's only gospel choir yesterday called SBG (Saved By Grace). Amazing voices, it was like I was a part of the Sister's Act again. This might be kind of weird, but I believe that an individual who can sing with confidence (doesn't have to be good or bad) is someone who generates a symbol of joy through the human body. That was very generic, I know, but it shows a lot of persona in my opinion.

As a college student, my goal is to tackle certain obstacles I would in one glance say "HELL NO"to because we only get to live once right?

To be more focused on now than the past.

What if...

What if... music never existed?

What if... that melodious noise vanished?

What if... our foot could not tap to the beat of our hearts?

What if... ruckus and silence were all we could hear?

I am glad we live in a world of music. A world where we can solely listen, close our eyes, and experience a pool of artists who want to share their talent to everyone.

Anywhere from "bee bob to doo wop to hip hop" (something I read from a catalogue :)) is simply a gift.

Music's universality truly amazes me.

There isn't a film label so I will upload videos via the link label.

On another note, I will miss the Tonight Show with Coco (pebbles hahah jk, but seriously)

Amazing

It's amazing how we can come together for a special cause. It's such a domino effect to see the level of care spread throughout this world. Globalization.

These past few days my attention has been caught on ethics. Through various situations, we find ourselves deter away from our good morals. I know that the only person to blame for my unethical actions was and is myself. Listen that voice inside that warns you, do not neglect that voice for there is purpose behind something so small.

In order to succeed in this complicated world, we must uphold our morals and present ourselves in an ethical manner. Professionalize yourself. "SUIT UP!" Barney from HIMYM

Just because I like Coldplay. And the cause for Haiti.

What happens next..?

Why...?
Stay strong Haiti,
Please recover from this disastrous natural disaster.
Although survival is key,
Please stay strong.

I am sorry that such a traumatic incident happened.
Please, hang in there
Help is on the way.

News News Hear All About It!

It amazes me how much each and every one of us learns something new each day.

Get yourself out there. Explore. Wonder.

Couple of weeks ago... I was admitted to a DC Program to study at Georgetown. There were and still are constant contemplations of whether I should go or not.

Financially, it was more than I expected, yet, I have a strong sense of urgency to go.

The question of who would I meet? Would they be long term friends? Future jobs?

Although it was frustrating to contemplate whether or not to risk an extra step towards a path that can change the course of my future... I knew that destiny played a major role in this once in a lifetime opportunity. That we were meant to associate with certain people and allow our networks soar.

So here it goes... DC summer opportunity... I don't want to let you slip away by giving me an opportunity to "live. learn. lead."

DO THAT LAFFY TAFFY!

Equality

Where there is a win, there is a loss.
Future opportunities correlate to future obstacles.

Our lives are like taffy spiraling in all sorts of directions.

Tastes delicious, but sticks to our teeth
Flexible, yet difficult

Ultimately, everything we do here will be weighed on the scales of justice.

Sniff Sniff "WUT THAT SMELL!"

Today I went snowboarding and it felt great to breathe in "clean" air into my lungs at Big Bear.

As I was boarding down the mountain, I stopped and simply admired the scenery painted in front of my eyes. My friends and I just sat dazed at how this world was created. Then we had our share of falling, laughing, and aching. It's OK, because in the end my friend's dad treated us out to Korean BBQ (yummers)!

During my fall semester, I had a guest speaker from the Oprah show come into my seminar and talk about the environment.
What struck me the most about her speech was her passion to connect the audience with the environment.

As she stood in command, she said, Now, close your eyes... think of an area of escape, an area where serenity fills the mind, body, and soul.
-More than 90% of the students in my seminar raised their hands when my guest speaker asked if it was somewhere in nature.

I cannot stress this enough, but our Earth needs us. Peace.
I miss the cliffs and WILL return to it's location when I visit SD.
